High Peaks Capital Advisors is the investment sales affiliate of the High Peaks Capital platform. We represent owners of multifamily and industrial properties in Upstate New York and Central Florida, drawing on the platform's broader transaction history and lender relationships to deliver a more institutional process to private and middle-market sellers.
Derek Carroll is the founder of High Peaks Capital, a commercial real estate platform spanning bridge lending, investment sales advisory, and principal investments. Over more than fifteen years in the industry, Derek has been involved in billions of dollars in transactions across capital markets, bridge lending, underwriting, and principal investing.
Derek began his career in institutional capital markets at NorthMarq, where he advised owners and developers on debt and equity placement across the property spectrum. He launched High Peaks Capital to build a platform that combines institutional underwriting discipline with the hands-on operating perspective of a principal.
Beyond his capital markets background, Derek has personally led more than fifty value-add and ground-up development projects as general contractor and principal. That operating experience informs every loan underwritten, every property sold, and every investment made through the platform.
Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. He is licensed as a New York real estate broker, and holds FINRA Series 82 and Series 63 registrations.
